Recent Reads

Thanks for stopping in today! I have read a bit of amazing books lately and thought it would be a great idea to share a few with you.

My latest read was Broken Knight by LJ Shen. It was released early and I have been waiting patiently for the release. It.Was.So.Amazing!!! I read it in one day. I did have to pause a few times to collect myself.  (Available on Kindle Unlimited)

Here is the description:

Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower.
Sweet.
Caring.
Charitable.
Quiet.
Fake.
Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language.
Who taught her how to laugh.
To live.
To love.

Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.
Gorgeous.
Athletic.
Rugged.
Popular.
Liar.
This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna.
But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore.
When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes.
Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy.

My review:

All. The. Feels! The wait was worth it to finally get to read this. I felt so much. I am really left speechless on what to say. The love is so much in this book. The heartwrenching moments had me holding my heart and wiping the tears away. The truths that are revealed wow! The life changing moments! Must read!

Another fantastic book I have recently read was Standstill by Nicole Dykes. (Available on Kindle Unlimited)  Ashlyn and Garret have a story unlike anything and I really was thrilled to read this!

Description:

How do you heal after tragedy?
Is it even truly possible?
Ashlyn and Garrett have been friends forever, nursing each other through the unimaginable. Over the years, they’ve learned to lean on each other and keep going.
But there’s a huge difference between moving forward and merely standing still.

My Review:

I must say that I really loved how the author wrote this story. Ash and Garrett have been friends for so many years. One fun night turns to tragedy. It will haunt them, leaving them dependent on each other to get through living. Time will pass and one decides they want a more fulfilling life, one that shows they are trying to live. Doors open. Where, who, and what lies behind them? Read Standstill! It's so great! Probably , maybe, you might cry.

"She's the love of my life and the only one I want to experience every second of it with."
