Throwback Thursday

Today is throwback Thursday! I am going to take y'all  back to a book I read in 2015. I was introduced to an amazing author who writes books that suck me in from the start.  She has a creative writing style that makes me live her words.  This author is Fabiola Francisco.  My first book I read of hers was Whiskey Nights.  Yes Jake was my first love of hers! Here is a description:

One kiss. That’s all it takes to captivate me. Although I fight the emotions that surge through me when I feel his lips touch mine, I am too far gone. It’s impossible to hide from the truth; Jake sparks a fire that burns life into me.

Our passion ignites the southern nights, but when our wishes for the future put us on separate paths, I am forced to imagine a life without him. Fun whiskey nights turn into emotional whiskey escapes as I find myself alone and questioning what I truly want out of life—settling for less than perfect to acquire a life I imagined or chasing my happiness and giving up part of my dreams.

My Review:

Whiskey Nights by Fabiola Francisco

4.8 stars

A quick - yet amazing kiss - on New Years Eve gets this amaxin story between Jake and Beth started.

Jake is the hot flirty bartender at Southern.  Beth works and runs a bakery called Southern Delights.  They have been friends for a while, but Beth has always thought Jake as one of those guys who had tons of one night stands and flirts with everyone.  After months of thinking about that kiss and avoiding Southern, and Jake, Beth ends up at Southern once again and that's when everything changes.  Her and Jake begin a relationship that quickly escalates and they fall deeply for each other.  That is until one difference between their life paths will change the future of their relationship.  How will they move on?  What will happen between them?  Is there anyway to be together?  For all the answers, all the struggles, all the love, all of this amazing story...... You have to read Whiskey Nights!  ( This is number 2 in a series, but can also be read as a standalone- I have not read the first book myself, yet)  As a new reader of Fabiolas work, I love how this story flows.  I was engrossed in the story the whole time!  There are moments I laughed, cried, felt my heart stop beating a few seconds, and happiness.  Fabiola has a way with words and had me in the moments the characters were in as if this was a real life situation.  I am now a fan and can not wait to get my hands on more  of Fabiola Francisco!  Yes, I recommend! Read NOW!  You will LOVE it!!!
